Insight: It’s easy to dehumanize people by reducing them to words and numbers: whether it’s by applying labels like ‘refugees’, ‘women’, ‘, ‘Muslims’, ‘activists’, or hiding the true impact of a situation by saying simply ‘25,000 people died.’ To rise above this, we should give people faces and tell their stories, so that more people can understand and relate to the individuals behind the labels.

Message: Violence and extreme opinions only inspire negativity: intelligent debate and collective action will lead us to a better future. We need to meet in the middle to change the world together, that’s why it’s time to “Make Extremism History!”

Insight: es fácil deshumanizar a las personas reduciéndolas a palabras y números: ya sea aplicando etiquetas como 'refugiados', 'mujeres', 'musulmanes', 'activistas' u ocultando el verdadero impacto de una situación diciendo simplemente "Murieron 25.000 personas." Para superar esto, debemos dar caras a las personas y contar sus historias, de modo que más personas puedan entender y relacionarse con las personas detrás de las etiquetas.

Mensaje: La violencia y las opiniones extremas solo inspiran negatividad: el debate inteligente y la acción colectiva nos conducirán a un futuro mejor. Por eso es hora de "¡Hacer historia del extremismo!"

POSTER NAME / nombre: INTREMISM

Concept: Focused on idealistic extremism among those most involved (USA vs Middle East) using the extreme graphic resource of converting an American symbol with the Muslim dress of a woman. The statue of liberty wears clothes that barely adapted it adjusted to the characteristics of the clothing of a Muslim woman.

Concepto: Enfocado al extremismo idealista entre los más involucrados (EEUU vs Oriente medio) usando el recurso gráfico extremo de convertir un símbolo americano con la vestimenta musulmana de una mujer. La estatua de la libertad usa ropa que apenas adecuándola se ajustó a las características de la vestimenta de una mujer musulmana.
